I was prescribed several drugs for cholesterol. The one that worked was Crestor, which worked to lower my LDL cholesterol. I have not been able to find a generic version of Crestor. I have read that some people use other drugs to help them lower their cholesterol levels and this has been the only drug to use that has a benefit in reducing LDL cholesterol. I am not sure if this is the right choice but my cholesterol is not as bad as it might seem. I am on statins, a medication that is not used to control my cholesterol levels and my blood pressure is not as bad as it seems. I do have a doctor who specializes in lipid lowering and dieting and she has prescribed Crestor to help me lower my LDL cholesterol. I am currently on a low dose of 1 mg per day of Crestor that is working to reduce my LDL cholesterol levels and is helping me lower the LDL cholesterol and lowering the LDL cholesterol levels is a good idea. I have not tried other cholesterol control options like the one on the web and have not tried other options like Lipitor and Zocor. I do not want to use Crestor as it does not work as well for me as it does not lower my LDL or reduce the amount of cholesterol in my blood. I am in my 60s and do not have the cholesterol levels that I have been doing so well with.

I have a cholesterol problem. I have tried several medications, but it seems to be working well. I took three different cholesterol control drugs (Crestor, Lipitor and Zocor) and I was able to lower my LDL and my cholesterol levels. After reading your web answers, I think I may have a problem.
I have been trying to find the right medicine to lower my cholesterol but have not found anything.

The doctor has told me that it is likely to be the bad cholesterol that is causing my LDL cholesterol levels to be low. I am trying to find a drug that does work better than Crestor and I am considering trying another one.

I have been taking a lot of blood tests and can see no other problems. I took Crestor for 6 weeks and my LDL levels were very low and I had not had any side effects so I was able to get a lower dose of Crestor. I am now on the lowest dose of Crestor and haven't had any side effects.
